HOW IT WORKS

Simple to understand.
Rare to find.

Three days a week. Real projects. A community that grows together. Here's exactly what it looks like.

FIRST, THE IMPORTANT PART

Brihte is not a school.

Brihte Studio is a supplemental enrichment program. You remain the legal homeschool educator for your child. We supplement, we don't replace. This is a deliberate choice, not a workaround. It means you stay in control of your child's education, and we get to focus entirely on the formation work.

You stay the educator.

Parents retain full legal homeschool educator status under Minnesota law. Nothing changes about your existing homeschool setup.

No licensing required.

Brihte operates as a supplemental enrichment co-op, not a licensed school or childcare facility.

We support your records.

We provide a monthly summary of what your child worked on to support your own homeschool record-keeping.

THE DAILY RHYTHM

Same bones.
Different heartbeat.

The structure never changes. The content always does. Children thrive when they know what to expect — predictability creates safety, and safety is what lets them take real risks.

Morning Circle

Every day starts here. Check-in, intention setting, how are you today? The same opening ritual every single day. Kids learn that how they arrive matters, and that someone is paying attention.

Core Skills

Independent math and ELA work, self-paced, non-competitive. A facilitator circulates, encourages, and asks good questions. Kids learn to work independently and to ask for help when they need it.

Movement Break

Non-negotiable. In-space movement; yoga, games, dance, or free movement. Bodies move, brains reset. Fifteen minutes that makes everything else work better.

Inner Studio Full Day

The formation work. Dedicated time for the emotions, self-trust, and moral leadership curriculum. Not therapy, practice. The same way we practice math, we practice knowing ourselves. This is the block that makes Brihte different.

Lunch + Connection

Community table. Kids bring their own lunch. Talking, laughing, being kids together. Enrichment members arrive at noon and join the group here.

Main Lesson

The heart of the day. Multi-week project work tied to the monthly theme of building, making, researching, designing. Real work, something you can hold or present or sell by the time it’s done.

Project Block

Rotates by day. Wednesday brings a guest educator from the community or a field trip. Thursday is dedicated art. Tuesday extends the project block.

Closing Circle

What did you make today? What are you proud of? Every day ends with gratitude and reflection. Kids leave knowing they did something, and that someone noticed.

MEMBERSHIP

Find your right fit.

Four tiers built around your family's schedule. All members are part of the same community; showcases, closing circles, and community events are for everyone.

BILLING & COMMITMENT

Simple on purpose.

We're a new program in a small town, and we know trust is earned. Our billing is built to be easy to understand and easy to live with.

Monthly billing

Tuition is charged on a monthly basis from September through May. A $150 deposit is required to reserve your spot and will be applied to your first month’s tuition.

30-day notice

If life changes, give us 30 days' notice and you can withdraw. We'd always rather find a solution than lose a family.

Semester intent

We ask families to sign a simple semester intent form so we can plan staffing and materials.

Small deposit

A $150 deposit holds your families spot and is applied to your first month's tuition.

HOMESCHOOL + BRIHTE

We come alongside, not instead of.

In Minnesota, parents are the legal educators of their homeschooled children and that doesn't change here. Brihte is a supplemental enrichment program, not a licensed school or childcare facility. Here's what that looks like in practice:

  • You stay the educator. Your family chooses the curriculum; the core work block is a held space where your kids do the work you've assigned.

  • We supply the rest. Project arcs naturally touch math, writing, science, history, geography, health, art, and physical movement.

  • Record-keeping made easy. Every month you receive a summary sheet of what your child explored ready to slot into your own homeschool records.

  • Assessments stay yours. Parents remain responsible for any required annual assessment; we're happy to point you to local options.

NEW TO HOMESCHOOLING?

You don't have to figure it out alone. Minnesota's homeschool requirements are simpler than most families expect; a letter to your district, a curriculum you choose, and an annual assessment.

Ask us for our free Minnesota Homeschool Quick-Start Guide, and we'll walk you through it at a Vision Night.

WHAT FAMILIES COMMIT TO

This works because everyone shows up.

  • Tuition paid monthly, with reduction options for families who contribute their skills

  • One volunteer contribution per semester; teach something, chaperone something, build something

  • Keeping your own homeschool records (our monthly summary makes this easy)

  • Genuine engagement with the Brihte arc: know, grow, build, belong
