THE WOMAN BEHIND THE VISION

I was never meant to fit the mold. But I spent years trying.

I'm Bri. A mother, writer, educator, and founder who believes we aren't here to simply inherit a life. We're here to consciously create one.

I was the girl staring out the classroom window.

I barely passed high school. I was restless, easily bored, and perpetually distracted by the world happening outside the classroom.

I remember looking at the trees, the sunshine, and the changing seasons, completely baffled that we had collectively decided being confined inside a building was the best way to spend our childhood.

There was an entire world out there. And I wanted to be part of it.

Somewhere along the way, I abandoned the girl I was.

She was artistic. Passionate. Drawn to nature and beautiful things. She imagined a life that felt expansive, creative, and entirely her own.

But instead of following those instincts, I followed the crowd. I chased love and attention in the wrong places. Drinking, drugs, rebellion, and relationships became part of a life that looked nothing like the one I once imagined.

I didn't lose myself overnight. It happened slowly, through years of trying to belong.

Motherhood didn't give me a new identity. It revealed how disconnected I'd become from my own.

I became pregnant young. I grew up quickly, and suddenly there was a tiny human depending on me while I was still trying to understand who I was.

I knew how to care for someone else, but I had to learn what it meant to care for the woman doing the caring.

The cost of disappearing inside motherhood.

We celebrate mothers for giving everything. Their time. Their energy. Their bodies. Their ambition. Sometimes even their identities.

But I began to see the cost of that sacrifice. The way we care for ourselves influences the way we show up for our children. Our emotional well-being, boundaries, creativity, and sense of purpose don't stop mattering when we become mothers.

I started asking myself what my daughters were learning about womanhood simply by watching me live.

THE BELIEF THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

The mother is the curriculum.

Children don't only learn from what we tell them. They learn from the lives unfolding in front of them.

Our relationships. Our boundaries. The risks we take. The dreams we pursue. The way we speak about ourselves and the world.

Not because mothers must be perfect, but because the example we live is part of what we teach.

I started finding my way back to her.

Back to the girl who loved art, nature, beauty, and possibility. Except this time, I wasn't interested in rebelling for the sake of rebellion. I wanted to create something meaningful.

I began writing, observing health and wellness, questioning conventional education, building businesses, and making decisions that reflected the life I actually wanted.

I stopped waiting for someone else's permission to begin.

And that is where BRIHTE began.

An evolving world built around the woman, the child, and the environments that shape us.
